Invisalign Treatment Process
Consultation
Your dentist will establish if Invisalign® teeth straightening is right for you. From a computerised 3D image of your mouth, we will create a simulated end result of your treatment plan with a timeline, allowing you to decide.
Treatment
Every two weeks you will receive new Invisalign® aligners, which gradually move your teeth to the desired position. Every 4 – 6 weeks we will review progress. Treatments typically last from 2 to 18 months depending on your individual orthodontic requirements.
Results
You now have a new straight smile you can show off! You’ll need to wear a retainer after Invisalign® treatment as, they train your newly straightened teeth to remain in their new alignment. It will depend on the patients unique situation for the length of time.

The iTero Element Scanner is a state-of-the-art digital impression system, used before starting any Invisalign® clear brace or other orthodontic treatment. It involves using a small optical wand to scan the inside of your mouth and teeth, instead of the traditional method of using trays and messy putty. The impression process is incredibly quick, and patients are free to breathe, swallow, or even pause to sneeze, without impacting the scanning process.
The accurate scanning process guarantees a perfect fit of your Invisalign® aligners, in a fraction of the time it would take using traditional putty impressions.
The iTero procedure creates a far better patient experience due to it being comfortable, convenient, and safe; it allows you to continue with your day, without worrying about the risk of having to re-do another impression due to fitting issues or the mould being rejected. Once the digital scan has been done, the 3D model of your mouth is used to create Invisalign® clear aligners.
About Bayswater Dental Surgery
Bayswater Dental Surgery was established over 40 years ago and its’ present owners Dr. Raj Sengupta and Dr. Bindesh Shah took over the surgery in 2001. Both practice principals, Raj and Bindesh have been friends since they trained together at King’s College London, after which they did their Vocational training at Whipps Cross Hospital.
After completing their Vocational training, they both worked as associate dentists in Redbridge for 2 years before becoming business partners at the Bayswater Dental Surgery. They bring over 20 years of clinical experience in general practice.
